Crush Your Foes With The Master Wand

Magicians rejoice in the wands that Old School Runescape has to offer.

Wands are a fantastic option for you to use as a weapon in OSRS, depending on how you decide to play. They are a common search where OSRS items for sale are concerned, and are a great choice to spend your OSRS GP on. The Master Wand is a good example of what this kind of item is capable of doing for you, and we’ll be taking an in-depth look at it here.

The Master Wand

Let’s begin by taking a look at what the Master Wand is. In Old School Runescape, the Master Wand is one of the most powerful wands in the whole game. In fact, it’s considered to be the second strongest of all, and you will need level 60 magic to wield it. To get your own, you’ll have to take up a rather unusual method. Rather than spending your OSRS gold, you’ll have to get pizazz points via the Mage Training Arena. That said, you could always buy one from a fellow player instead. Depending on the price at the Grand Exchange, you may have to find some OSRS gold for sale whilst you’re at it.

To buy the wand using the method of getting it from the Mage Training Arena, there is some criteria that you will need to meet. You’ll need 240 in both telekinetic and alchemist, as well as 240 graveyard points. There’s 2400 enchantment needed, and a teacher wand too. If you’re buying it with all of the prerequisite wands, then you’ll need to get 480 graveyard points and telekinetic, plus 530 alchemist and 4800 enchantments.

You’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your Master Wand to the Kodai Wand, which is the strongest wand in the game. To do this, players are going to need to get the Kodai Insignia. This is available by participating in the Chambers of Xeric.

Combat

The Master Wand has a mix of combat skills, with bash, pound and focus all being crush kinds of attack. So if you’re up against a foe that is particularly weak to crush weapons, then you’re in luck. There is of course the magic aspect as well, having both offensive and defensive magic spells being available to use.

About Wands

Given their prominence in pop culture and such, it is pretty self-explanatory as to what a wand is. In terms of OSRS, these wands are able to autocast spells, though they are without the melee bonuses that other weapons offer. They won’t give you an infinite supply of runes either, though you can actually get this if you were to get the Kodai Wand.

They are considered to be the best when it comes to getting magic bonuses when you’re looking at the other magic weaponry the game offers. However, there are not cheap for you to come by. You may even consider trying to buy OSRS gold if you were to collect these wands. It isn’t just the price either, as they are hard to get a hold of in general without forking out for one of your own.

If you want to just get a standard wand, then you can do so by taking part in the Mage Training Arena minigame for one. The wands are available via the rewards guardian, where you’ll be able to spend those hard-earned pizazz points that you have got. There is the magic level that you have to reach too.

One of the rarer abilities that wands have, specifically the Master Wand and the Kodai Wand, is for ancient magicks to be autocast. It makes sense that such a skill would be reserved for the two top wands that are available in Old School Runescape.

There is a lot of cool advantages that wands have, and that does come at a price. If you are struggling to obtain one, then you could always consider picking up some cheap OSRS gold from one of the many sites that it’s available from. They feel like a must-have kind of weapon for anyone with a focus on magic, and with enough time and effort you’ll be waving around even the likes of the Master Wand. There is the cost to consider of course, but when you weigh that up against what they are capable of, it will ultimately be up to you to decide whether or not you’ll be wielding a wand or not in OSRS.
